Ex-international Mohammed Polo says it will be 'disastrous' if Sulley Muntari, Michael Essien and Asamoah Gyan are axed from the Black Stars despite their gross insubordination to coach Milovan Rajevac.

Polo accepts the trio flouted the rules by refusing to travel with the team for the Angolan friendly last Wednesday but says it will too harsh a decision to ban them.

"It is rather unfortunate but they are key players and ambassadors for the nation and so should not be quick to condemn them,'' Polo Said.

"We need to have patience to also listen to their side of the story before we start total condemnation.

''Even if they erred, it will be suicidal to just sack them from the national team after all that they have done for the nation. That for me also will be travesty of Justice."

He added that:"There are better ways to deal with the matter that to just dismiss them and tarnish their image."

"But I feel sad for Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari and Asamoah Gyan who are not just key players for the Black Stars but role models for the youth."

Gyan has been quick to issue a public apology for his conduct and Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelloti has defended Essien claiming he sought permission to be absent.

There has been no response from Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari.

The Ghana Football Association will from next week begin an investigation into the matter and come out with the punishment for the trio if found culpable.

Ghana should not venture to sack these guys from the team ,if they do then we have no cup of nations or world cup , they are the people to handle it for us and so we have to take caution in the way we are going about that issue . They have given their appologies and nothing else , we donot have to talk about them everyday in our so call radio stations making noise about them Please becareful to deal with them

we are taking this issue too far. if we are to go intatil of this case you will see that one or some of the official will be aware of their case. if not true how can their passport be given to them at the airport? who was incharge of the passport? what instructions was given to the handler of the passport? i see no reason why the authority will give you the prayers passport handover to the prayers? let us look at this at this issue very carefully and we will conclude that there is ....... amoung the leaders thanks. if you pleople insist of forgiving them, then it will be a plus to chelsea as essien scores important gals for us.

Ghanaians are too quick to judge. Who looses? Essien and Co. or Ghana? Hey, Listen, they have already made their make! They don't need 2010 world cup to survive. We need them. Ask them what went wrong and they will tell you. How can they be humilated by these Under 20 squad?

Oho! why Ghana Black Stars, its shines once and goes dim for 100 days. Why should immaturity downplay us like this? Is it Money or Fame? I am embarrassed at what I keep hearing and reading about a team of people who should be at the helm of affairs to management such childish information from spilling over to the public domain. Is it all about MONEY & FAME so we go blind and forget the sacrifices of our own brilliant kids? Lets stop washing our dirty clothes in the public, it is not befitting for a country like ours GHANA ~ I kiss you all for the good work. Go black stars Go Ghana...!

You can fool some of the people some of the time, BUT! you cannot fool all of the people all the time. Especially not me. NOBODY can do more for GH than GH has than for such an individual, take it or leave it. Appiah (Malam) -for I call him so- and Paintsil are the role model of my kids. Essien, Muntari and Gyan can go to H ( mother will be upset if say what I really want to say). Polo did you anything of this sort in your days? Why or why not. God bless our homeland GH.gh.
