The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi has described comments by a former football administrator, Mr. Kojo Bonsu as ‘kids stuff’ when it comes to matters concerning football administration.

Reacting to a call by Mr. Kojo Bonsu on government to immediately put in place a Public Interest Committee (PIC) to oversee the activities of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and help check indiscipline and corruption in football administration, Mr. Nyantakyi described Mr Bonsu’s call as “Bogus” and “Unmeritorious”.

“I will pardon him because he is not a member of the GFA, though he has some interest in football administration it's been such a long time since he was actively involved in that sporting discipline,” he stated in an interview on Peace Fm’s “Kokrokoo”.

The GFA President told Kwami Sefa Kayi that, the GFA is an institutional set-up which ensures transparency, good governance and accountability.

“We have the congress which is the highest decision making body and also the legislative body of the GFA, as such all accounts are handed over to them…it is scrutinized before approval. The accounts are sent to the Ministry of Sports which is then forwarded to Parliament for approval, what kind of checks does he want again?” he asked.

The GFA President who is also a banker and lawyer, referred to the instance where even in the constitution there was the Commission for Human Rights and Administration Justice (CHRAJ), National Media Commission (NMC) which were all not answerable but solely to the constitution, as such requesting them to send all their activities and programmes to parliament for approval.

“No one puts pressure on them when working because the institutional set up makes sure that there are checks and balances,” he added.

What about the committee?
The question is whether a committee of the sort needs to be put in place? Stop this child's play and stick to the issues. What do you fear? Nothing, I believe so follow your own guidelines. Fooball administrators are corrupt, we all know this. If the politicians are being held accountable, why not football administrators?

Please, those NDC boys like Kojo Bonso who were part of Muntaka case should keep mute and stop the DEDE making. This country is for peace. Leave GFA to do their work. If you have corruption aligation against them, provide and prove it. Kojo Bonsu the sponsor, we know you from tete. Beware of your action. it will be used to measure you some days coming.

Yes, Mr KNOW-Everything Nyantakyi what about Public Interest Committee (PIC)
So now Mr. Know-Everything Kwesi Nyantakyi, only one who should talk football, because, he has taken Ghana to the World Cup, what a myopic thing to say. You host an African Cup you could not win, with all money throw at it. And you think you are the best thing to happen to Ghana football pleaseeeeeeee !!. We are qualifying for World Cup NOT because of you Mr. Know-Everything Nyantakyi, but mostly because we have good players and you did not groom them. LUCK is on your side, so count yourself LUCKY and stop boosting. Should Public Interest Committee (PIC) be part of our football administration? Or NOT, SIMPLE !!!!! STOP SHOOTING YOUR MOUTH

You are right mr. chairman, if kojo bonsu wants to unseat you, he should be bold and proclaim so, rather than hide behind untested suggestions, and recommendations.
