Ghana midfilder Anthony Annan has adopted two girls from two separate orphanage homes in his hometown.
This was after the 26-year-old donated items worth Ghc 10,000 to the orphanages in the Komenda/Edina/Eguafo/Abirem (KEEA) Municipality on Christmas Day.
Annan, already a proud father of three has thus added 7-year-olds Anne and Blessing from the Ahotokrom and Living Hope orphanages to his family.
The on-loan Schalke player at Osasuna is one of the players expected to make the final Black Stars squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations from a provisional list of 26.
The former Hearts of Oak player aside his efficiency and dedication on the field of play, is noted for numerous philanthropic deeds especially in his home town in Cape Coast.“This is something that my colleagues have also been doing and this is not the first time I am doing this,” he told Cape Coast-based Live FM.
“I think we have to support those who are in need. They need our support and this is from my heart.
“Whenever I am here, I am going to do this, it will be done annually.”
Annan is currently on a short holiday in Ghana due to the winter break in Spain.
