Ghana and Nigeria have been placed in the second tier of teams for Friday's Africa Cup of Nations draw. Defending champions Egypt join Africa's top-ranked team Cameroon and Ivory along with hosts Angola in Pot 1, which contains the seeded teams.

Tunisia, Ghana and Mali are with Nigeria in Pot 2. Pot 3 will contain Zambia, Benin, Algeria and Togo while Pot 4 has Burkina Faso, Mozambique, Gabon and Malawi.

According to CAF, the seedings are based on performance criteria from the last three Africa Cup of Nations competitions as laid down in the regulations. Pot 2: Tunisia, Ghana, Mali, Nigeria
