Kojo Bonsu says he will not run for the Ghana Football Association presidency in 2011 when the federation's general elections are held.

The former football administrator was taken to the cleaners by the Ghana FA boss Kwasi Nyantakyi on Monday for claiming there is corruption in the GFA. Bonsu made two failed bids to be the president of the Ghana FA - the latest in 2005 against Nyantakyi.

Nyantakyi accused Bonsu of making baseless accusations against his administration becasue he is keen to be the president of the Ghana FA. Bonsu insists he will not run for the 2011 elections but wants the right thing to be done within the Ghana FA.

"I have moved on to bigger things in life. I will not contest the 2011 elections," Bonsu said. "I am a football enthusiast and thus when I see things going wrong I have the right to voice it out."

Bonsu called for the setting up of the Public Interest Committee of the Ghana FA to check alleged corruption which prompted the verbal attacks on him. "I didn't insult anyone in my interview yet I am being insulted all over the place," Bonsu said.

"The public's money is being spent on Ghana football and if I call for the right bodies to be set up, I have not committed a crime. "Ghana has spent US$3m on the Black Stars since April and when I say there must be transparency I have done no wrong."

Bonsu stirred the hornet’s nest on Monday when he asked government to put in place a Public Interest Committee(PIC) to oversee the activities of the GFA to help check indiscipline and corruption in football administration.

i dont think if this man knows the working of the FA. the people at the FA a people who are put there by the clubs in Ghana. If Kojo wants them to be checked then he should let the clubs check them. if he has the interest in Ghana football why would he wait at a time that Ghana needs the FA so much to deal with the qualifications of Ghana football. Go away with your self conceited behaviour.Go to the castle and talk to Prez Mills if you want him to hear your voice.
