Spokesperson for the Rawlingses Kofi Adams has said that there is the need to conduct a proper post mortem on the Black Stars team to verify what really went wrong at African Cup of Nations in South Africa.

According the Mr. Adams, the Stars disappointed the whole of Ghana and South Africa fanatics who after their elimination in the quarter-finals pledged their support for Ghana.

However, he said what happened in South Africa during Ghana’s semi-final match against Burkina Faso was not a good thing for any Ghanaian as well as the South Africa fans that kept supporting the team after their elimination at the Quarter-final stage.

“..that is football, in that stage (Semi-finals) there is nothing like draw, you either win or lose,” he added.

Though Ghana went to the tournament as favourites, Kofi Adams believes that the Black Stars were only favourites on paper but on the grounds.

To him the Stallions were more physically stronger as well as tactically superior to the Ghanaian bench.

“..They (Stallions) deserved to win that game...they played better than us,” he said.

Speaking on Peace FM’s “kokrokoo” programme on Friday, Kofi Adams called on football administrators to review the current Black Stars team to figure out glitches facing the team since he believes there are issues of indiscipline and division among players and officials.

He added that there should be a proper postmortem of the team, to find out what really went wrong.

He urged that all managers of our football should come together so the government would come in to assist.

“I think the Black Stars should learn their lessons,” he stated.
